Christopher - Tallahassee

This is my great-grandfather Joseph Pearce Walsh Senior. He was Mountain Patrolman for the New York Police Department and then later Patrolmen around the city from 1912 to 1942 30 years retired badge number 9000. My grandfather never used his gun wants in the line of duty he would use his night stick throwing it if need to trip a robber. Supposedly he stopped a runaway carriage by having to jump on the whore says upfront and that’s what injured him and why they put him at patrolman later on in his years I want to donate his badge 10 the New York police Museum In his owner. They say his Nickname was Whitey Cop because you could see his Whitehair from a mile away because of all his years maybe as a kid growing up as mother put him in the young age. My great-grandfather did a lot for this country and he loved it especially the city New York. A life of service he died of colon cancer and has ran in my family but I’ve always looked up to him and strive to be like him . I knew that this was going to come to face me which I was misdiagnosed with ulcerative colitis when really I had Crohn’s and I myself and grandchild great-grandchild knows that I would have to maybe deal with this . God has blessed me with the opportunity to take part in the stem cell research study at Shands Hospital in Gainesville Florida and I took that opportunity and I’m in the best shape of my life. You can follow me at @UFStemCell on Twitter I appreciate you taking the time to hear my story these are the things I was told as a child they might have prepared me for the future and what things might have had to come. I hope it inspires you in your will to fight for another day I think anything is accomplishable if you believe and have hope.
